Blogger asked me to write a story using the Bald headed frog with a wig....

The bald frog with the wig was a very cunning frog. He always knew when an elf, the most stealth and agile humanoid creature there is was approaching. The bald frog with the wig always knew because once upon a time he too was an elf himself. he was indeed a handsome elf and his fancy was to run with the pixies. But, alas, to his detriment he ran a little to freely as one pixie took a disliking to the bald frog with the wig, once a handsome gallant elf and turned him into the bald frog with the wig. Now TBHFWTW, is seeking his way back and by listening carefully for the ONE approaching elf Prince or Princess to change him back and bring him home in time he will return to the land of everlasting life and happiness. For the time being, he must survive as a bald headed frog and eat the water lilies.

todays gripe Dec 8, 2008

I am a prisoner in my own home where there are creepy loud and rambunctious gremlin babies who live above me, in the floor boards and all around. Shiiiiiiit I love all kids but those upstairs are evil and their parental unit is the dark queen lord of the land. They are freaks and I live in fear of her wrath, so i endure her evil offspring every single night and often on the weekend mornings too. This is MY gripe site, no one seems to ever come and stop by so I'm gonna make this my site to VENT as I wish!

Ya know what, BOY! The conservatives are the most nasty, sexist, smug scum buckets! I give up! I have NO patience for these greedy low life's. If I were king I'd put them up against a wall and MAKE them watch Keith Olberman, Larry King and Rachel Maddow to learn how to conduct a real news show and keep it interesting!

I'm watching the episode of Sex and the City where Carey shamefully confesses to Miranda that she's meeting with Big and Miranda becomes VERY angry. Miranda tells Carey that she refuses to hold her hand again if Carey should need her to by getting involved with him again. Miranda storms off and leaves Carey in the store after Carey tells Miranda not everyone is as strong or perfect as she is.
Why do I bring this up you the reader might inquire...because I was struck by the fact that this is EXACTLY what happened with one of MY ex closest friends A-L. It hurt so much when she claimed that SHE couldn't go through another moment of MY pain. it felt as though, MY personal journey to grow, feel and learn was hers, not mine at all. Needless to say months later she blew up at me for some pent up resentment and accused me of not caring enough about her because I didn't call her to wish her a Happy Birthday until 10pm. She seemed to feel it was ALL my fault that SHE felt she gave more. I can genuinely say that the fact is, if a person wants a relationship to be 50/50, they have to see what is important and what is not. To this day, I'm not sure what happened or why she chose to cut me off. ON sex and The City, Carey and Miranda have no problem apologizing and swearing to not place judgment on one another and to allow anything to become between them. I know, I know, that's TV, but actually, when I had a falling out with my dear SN we reconciled and later talked about how immature both of us was acting and that never again would such behavior split us in two because at this point in our loves we're beyond that. Unfortunately, TWO (not just ONE) of my dearest, closest friends just can't rise above. I'm not perfect, never said I was, but friendship has always meant something to me and I'm hurt it is so easily thrown to the side by two people I thought I knew so well.
I've learned a hard lesson though, you have ONLY yourself. Sure you can count on a few friends, family loved ones, but in the end, you really, truly MUST have the stregnth to rely solely on yourself!

Skyr

I've found the MOST amazing yougurt, EVA! Siggi's Skyr. Low cal, NO sugar and has the consistency of sour cream. I'll get back to this later to elaborate as I'm at the gym right now and felt compelled to start the conversation about my amazong new discovery.

First Post! TV Culture.

My First Posting! OY! Too much pressure. Not sure where to start. Oh I have one! As low brow shlock as this may be, I am really into the TV show Journeyman and I'm so frustrated they decided to cancel it without giving the large fan base the answers to many questions about the complex story line. But instead, NBC deems "Lipstick (LipSHTICK) Jungle" a better program to continue. Ich! Just another sad example of how pathetic the majority sits in their worlds of zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. For PETES SAKE people, Sex and the City was good, really good, but trying to bring that show back in something thinly veiled as new and exciting is just plain ole pathetic, especially on network TV. The writers of Sex and the City should have amped up and wrote something edgier for HBO, not some watered/dumbed down version. Bleh! Annoying! I'm off to color my hair, nothing good to watch now that Idol's done tonight anyway!
